These emergency supplies, are being made quickly with the goal of fast track production, they are being sent to hospitals and medical clinics to fight COVID-19. Some distileries have switched from making drinking spirits to hand sanitzers. Some of these products that will be shipped to medical clinics contain coconut oil and/ or almond oil.

It’s a fairly simple process, general manager Abby Riggleman explained: Combine distillate with almond or coconut oil, so it’s
less harsh on the skin, and add a bit of essential oil for a nice scent. The hard part for would-be at-home sanitizer producers is making
sure the alcohol content is high enough.
